Pompeian Beauty Creams began its history in a small drugstore outside of Cleveland Ohio in the late 19th Century. It started as a massage cream favored by barbers. Mary Pickford was a feature in many of the magazine ads. The company was later sold to the Colgate Co. The ads are quite beautiful .
